I got my passion for food from my mother. My knowledge and experience come from my years as a trained chef at such esteemed establishments as Cliveden hotel. As to the writing, well, English was always my favourite academic pursuit, and I've written poetry, songs, prose and criticism since I was a kid. When I decided to return to education and take a degree, English was the obvious choice. This in turn led to journalism, which introduced me to copywriting, and in time this drew me back to food, which itself opened my eyes to wine. Life sends us on some funny journeys sometimes.
So I use my knowledge of food and wine and couple it with my skills as a writer to give a marketable character to products and brands. I try to tap into a product's or a company's energy and personality and, or course, target market, and bring this out in the most effective way possible. Basically, I sell the sizzle with the sausage.
